This small, cast Rhubarb leaf that once looked so lovely in my garden is now captured in its natural state with all of its nooks, crannies, veins and flow and is ready to be displayed in the home of a fellow leaf-lover. I have long grown Rhubarb in my garden because I love looking at the leaves – big, bold, undulating and beautiful. After years of experimenting, I arrived at a solution to be able to look upon that beauty all year round. First, I grow the rhubarb and then select my favorite leaves. I then harvest one leaf at a time and go through a painstaking process of capturing the natural flow and folds of the leaf. Once I have finished the cast, I hand paint it and it is ready for your wall or table-top.
